The story of JazzRock is not your standard artist bio.

JazzRock aka Jasmine Sandler, has been a prolific writer and speaker on stage her entire life.

At the age of 11 she published her first full book of poetry. In her college senior year she delivered a 100 page thesis on the Art and Life of Poet - William Blake. She went on to publish other poems and win multiple poetry awards globally.

JazzRock always had a drive and passion for communication, engagement and  branding. She was giving speeches and directing creative shoots as early as age 17 as an intern at Y&R in NYC.

As a gifted speaker and a thought-leader, JazzRock has given over 500 speeches to audience sizes up to 2,000 attendees. She is no stranger to the stage.

With a background in classical piano and her talent for songwriting, her passion is music.

She writes music to drive change and delivers daily on her mission to support the growth of women musicians and females in the music industry as the lead of The Warrior Women Entertainment Collective, in which she produces educational and performance events for women in music in NYC.

Within only the last 10 years, she has gone from singing in local cover bands to creating and leading her band, SIlent Fury and writing for other NYC band projects. Now she is determined to do it on her own as JazzRock.

JazzRock is a prolific songwriter and strong vocalist who is out to make bold statements that drive positive change on global issues affecting women to use music to make positive change such as Domestic Violence, Economic Inequalities and Transhumanism.

Her poetic and sometimes dangerously thought-provoking lyrics have been compared by the music community to great poetic artists as Jim Morrison and Portishead.

Her vocal style and engaging dynamics in sound have been equated to female pioneers in Punk, Jazz and Rock. One music critique summed JazzRock as “The perfect blend of voice, style and message as a mix of the late Amy Winehouse blended with the wonderful storytelling of Patti Smith and the raw intention of Courtney Love.

JAZZROCK IN THE PRESS

“The Silent Fury Band featuring JazzRock put on a memorable and emotional performance on their song, “Violence Against Violence.” Kicking off, a busy instrumental arrangement of wailing guitars and syncopated bass and drums capture the ever-stirring emotions and unrest of the American populous. As the lead guitar fades out, JazzRock’s vocals passionately depict the violence and it's ripple effect on the world. Through each vocal passage, the arrangement shifts in dynamic to showcase different moods and emotion keeping listeners engaged through rocking, heavy, punk-fueled jams that embody our frustrations, to softer delicate sections that act as a rallying cry to come together. Never a dull moment, Violence against Violence, demands your attention keeping your ears locked in with unpredictability and edge-of-your-seat intensity and anticipation. JazzRock kills her vocal performance with undeniable authenticity and confidence.”

“ALEX H. INTERVIEWER - What do you love most about music and what keeps you motivated to pursue it on top of all your many other responsibilities? JAZZROCK (SILENT FURY LEAD) I love getting in a room with my band and creating music. I love taking it from pen on paper to a finished piece. I love making an impact with it. I love it all! Music to me is not a responsibility. I strongly feel that writing songs is something I was meant to do, and becoming the best singer I can be supports that. I take it very seriously , but when I am actually doing it, I am the happiest I can be!”
